Every protected satellite is screened against the whole catalog for close approaches and for objects loitering nearby.

Threat brief

A short operations summary of the alerts below.

Alerts

Resilience when it matters

Stress-test the picture with what-if events and watch how the alerts and services respond.

ASAT fragmentation

A destructive anti-satellite test on a defunct payload near 470 km, like Cosmos 1408 in November 2021. About 1,500 fragments are spread with realistic velocity kicks, then the whole fleet is screened again.

Inspector approach

An uncorrelated object appears 90 km behind a geostationary weather satellite on a slightly lower orbit, so it drifts closer every hour.

GNSS degradation

Knock out part of GPS or Galileo and see whether a city still gets a position fix. Satellites above 10° elevation, with position dilution of precision (PDOP; lower is better).
